Salida, Colorado, is located in South Central Colorado in the beautiful Arkansas River Valley. Simple Lodge & Hostel provides lodging for the Monarch Crest Trail, Salida Mountain Trails mountain biking system, Monarch Mountain Ski Area and whitewater rafting of the Arkansas River. There are fifteen mountains above 14,000’ and four wilderness areas surrounding Salida. While there is abundant snow in the mountains there is a year around sunny climate in the valley
