We have the largest historic district in all of Colorado. What's more, we are home to Colorado's first Creative Arts District. Our town is centered around the river and there are plenty of shops, restaurants and galleries in downtown. There are two breweries, Soulcraft Brewery and Tres Litros (located just around the corner) for folks looking to experience Colorado's bustling brewery scene. Thru-Hiking & Biking
In addition to day hikes and bikes, we are a Gateway Community for the Continental Divide Trail (CDT), the Colorado Trail (CT), and the Great Divide Trail (GDT). Historically, our hostel was founded as a haven for hikers on these trails, as well as our amazing trail crews that work in the area. Fittingly, we continue that proud tradition. Our hostel is collaborating with local trail angels to help support a shuttle system to and from Monarch Pass.
